Official launch of the Taïga Initiative website
Taïga Initiative™ was officially inaugurated on June 22, 2022 with the aim of making a contribution in the field of ecoresponsible certification.
Taïga Initiative offers two certification programs for green construction or renovation projects based on scientific foundations and recognized standards (ISO).
A local sourcing certification program is also available for products, activities of an organization or company, construction or renovation of a building.
These certification programs are accessible to companies of all sizes : Locally Sourced, Carbon Neutral and Ecodesign.

Certification in local sourcing?
Taïga Initiative is proud to announce its unique certification in local sourcing.
Local sourcing means that the sourcing is done in a locally identified area (provincial or national level) to favour the provincial or national workforce according to Taiga Initiative. This is important because it helps preserve jobs and promote economic spinoffs in the province or country.
Finally, a certification for the social and economic vitality of your region!

Public consultation on Taïga Initiative standards

Your participation is required for the public consultation on the following standards developed by Taïga Initiative:
Standard on Carbon Neutral V1.0
CARBON NEUTRAL CERTIFICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION PROJECTS
Standard on EcoDesign V1.0
ECODESIGN CERTIFICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION PROJECTS
Taïga Initiative needs your comments on the choice of product category, the establishment of environmental criteria and functional characteristics of the product.
Your comments on the programs will be taken into consideration and will be answered. Reasonable efforts will be made to achieve consensus throughout the consultation process.
